The results are in and the most popular 45 songs in the Beach Music genre for 2006 have been determined. We're pleased to say that Ray's song 'Mess Around On You' has placed 29th overall! Not bad for a song that was written in 15 minutes while Ray was on holidays in Florida!

Ray's song 'It Started With The Blues' is a finalist in the 2006 UK Songwriting Competition as well as the Billboard Songwriting Competition in the Jazz/Blues category.

Ray's song "Internet Date" is featured on the Bullseye Record label compilation CD "Unsigned, Sealed and Delivered" which was released in July
2006.

Ray's song "Mess Around On You" has been featured on the One20 Inc. Record label compilation CD "More Soul 4" released in June 2006.

Ray Edge was voted “Best Male Artist” at the first annual Toronto Independent Music Awards (TIMA) and was nominated again in 2006 as Best Blues and Best Live Performer. He is featured on the TIMA compilation CD which is now available.

The Soul Connection CD has been gathering interest from far and wide.
It has made a particular impact on the Beach Music scene in the south-eastern United States where the song 'Mess Around On You' has been in the top 40 for several months now.
'Blame It On The Moon' is also charting and is considered a 'smoothie' that appeals to the shag dancers down south.

Here at home, Ray has been nominated as Best Blues Artist and Best Live Performer at the 2006 Toronto Independent Music Awards.
